Plane skidded off the runway in Lodz

A Ryanair plane skidded off the runway during taxiing before take-off and got stuck in the grass and sand on Tuesday. The plane was carrying 170 passengers and was scheduled to fly from Lodz to East Midlands-Nottinhgam. Nobody was injured. Passengers were transported to Warsaw, from where they were able to fly to Nottingham or London.
Wladyslaw Reymont Airport in Lodz had to be temporarily closed. Flight to London that was scheduled for the afternoon was canceled, and the airport didn't receive any more arrivals on Tuesday.
