Polish regional airports on the rise


For the first time half of the total number of passengers using Polish airports flew through local airports.

During the first 9 months of this year Polish airports served almost 14,62 million people. It's 25% more in comparison to the same period of time last year. Regional airports served almost 7,53 million. The remaining 7,088 million used Warsaw Okecie airport. Krakow is most popular among local airports with 2,36 million passengers, Katowice - 1,5 million and Gdansk 1,3 million. Commercial Aviation Office estimates that this year all Polish airports will serve 19 million passengers, about 3 million more than in 2006.
