Polish governmental fleet a "piece of junk"

There are 8 planes type Jak-40 (Jakovlev) among the machines currently used by Polish officials. Just recently an outer layer of windshield cracked, while the Jak-40 plane was taxiing at Bonn airport in Germany. The plane was en route to Berlin and was carrying Polish environment minister Jan Szyszko on board. The government press services failed to inform the public on this incident, fearing that it may spark another discussion on condition of the planes flown by Polish politicians. None of the Jaks-40's among the fleet is less that 30 years old.
