LOT Polish ends one of its transatlantic connections

On 15 September the plane of LOT will take off for the last time from Jasionka airport in Rzeszow on the way to New York.

Started in June it was originally thought as a seasonal connection from the start and there is no word so far if it will return to the schedule next summer. The airport authorities claim that the flights between Rzeszow and New York were very popular and are now looking for an American carrier interested in establishing a regular connection thanks to next year's "open skies" agreement between the USA and the European Union. Many Polish immigrants living in the USA are coming fromn the Rzeszow region, hence the poularity of the non-stop flights.
LOT was flying from Rzeszow to New York twice a week - to JFK and EWR.

Do rzeszowa powinny latac samoloty przynajmniej 4x w tygodniu a z Chicago nawet wiecej. Cale chicago to Polska poludniowo-wschodnia wiec nie bylo by problemu z wypelnieniem samolotow.
