II World War bomb found at Lodz airport

Passangers and personnel working at the airport in Lodz (central Poland) were forced to evacuate on Wednesday after a bomb dating back to the times of II World War was found. It was discovered by contractors working on the new tarmac.
The sapper engineers were called to remove the unexploded shell. The airport authorities were hoping to restore the service before the evening rush hours, fearing it may be necessary to cancel or divert some flights.
