Fewer passengers on Polish airports

Airports in Poland have seen 12 percent fewer passengers in H1 2009, according to the Civil Aviation Office (ULC). The biggest decline in passenger figurs was witnessed at the Warsaw airport (16%), whereas all Polish airports saw a decrease of 1.2 million passengers. By the end of this year the number is expected to reach 2 million.

What is noticeable, foreign passengers who constituted half of all visitors traveling thorugh Polish airports, now the number went down to about 30 percent which may suggest that foreigners lose interest in Poland as a tourist destination.
