LOT Polish Airlines has painted one of its Boeing 737 planes in gold to commemorate 20th anniversary of Poland's democratic elections in 1989. Why gold? It was part of an artistic performance participated by almost 200 residents of one of Warsaw's neighborhoods. They flew to Brussels on board of the golden jet, dressed in golden suits as aliens, and handed out about 20 thousand labels with a slogan "1989 - it all began in Poland".
LOT for its part participated in the event by painting one of its planes in gold. It took eight days and 52 kg of paint to turn one 737 into a new livery. The plane will fly in its new colors for about a year.
Z jednej strony to miła promocja i ciekawa odmiana, zwłaszcza, że to może być jedyny aktualnie latający pomalowany na złoto samolot na świecie. Nie należy jednak zapominać, że LOT notuje straty. Czy zabawa w malowanie samolotu kosztem podatników to dobry pomysł?
