Centralwings cancels several connections

A subsidiary of LOT Polish Airlines has pulled back several flights form its schedule among financial troubles.

Some destinations turned out to be not as beneficial as expected. Among the suspended flights are those form Poznan to Rome, Paris and Edinburgh. Starting form April 1 some of the Centralwings flights won't be departing from Wroclaw, Szczecin, Krakow, Gdansk and Warsaw. Some of the routes will be canceled for good. The plans to open new routes to Amsterdam and Manchester were temporarily abonadoned.
"We had to reduce the schedule of flights for April. We are updating our route network, and for now we are able to offer only the minimum number of connections we are certain to operate" - says Kamil Wnuk, a spokesperson for Centralwings. "We are not disappearing from the market, we work on our development, it is just we are waiting for new planes. We are scheduled to receive two 737 boeings in late April and one more in May" - he added.

Last year Centralwings ended with a deficit of 73 mln zl (32,5 million dollars).
