Singapore receives its first A380
After 2 years of delays it finally arrived. A380 will replace 3 Boeings 747-400 that are now flying between Singapore and Sydney. The tickets for the inaugural flight scheduled for October 25 were sold on a special ebay auction with all the profits going to charity. Australian Julian Howard purchased the most expensive tickets, paying 100,380 dollars for 2 one-way first-class seats. A380 configuration for Singapure Airlines seats 471 passengers.
